My Dearson,
I learned at a very young age that its not enough to be able to just speak. You must express with clarity!
The world doesn’t move for noise. It moves for precision. When you walk into a room and your voice begins to fill it, it must be felt. Not just heard.
You see, there’s a difference between speaking and being listened to. And there’s a greater difference between being listened to and being remembered.
That’s why you must learn to communicate on all levels.
Whether you’re sitting across from a CEO, shaking hands with an investor, or catching up with the janitor - you must be able to speak their language.
Not just the words they use. But the rhythm, the posture, the perspective.
When you’re speaking with a CEO, use language that earns respect. Speak with confidence. Get to the point. Share ideas that create impact, not just noise.
They live in a world of margins, moves and decisions - speak accordingly.
But when you’re speaking with a janitor? Don’t speak down. Speak across. Ask about his family. Joke about the weather. Respect his grind.
You never know who will hold the door for you next.
I once heard someone say:
If you cant explain it to a child or a grandmother, you don’t understand it well enough.
Its not just about speaking eloquently. Its about being able to take a complicated thought - and deliver it in a way that makes someone feel seen, respected and connected.
And here’s what I’ve learned about people.
We are drawn to people who understand us. We trust people who can sit across from us and make us feel like we belong.
If you become that person- Someone who can speak to all. Then you’ll never be without connection and connection is the true currency of life.
There’s an old proverb that says:
A man who can relate to all has a friend in many.
And son, let me tell you - There is nothing more valuable than having friends from all walks of life.
the businessman who teaches you the power of leverage.
The mechanic who reminds you what honest work looks like.
The old man on the porch who tells stories that history books forgot.
The waitress who remembers your name when you’ve had a hard day.
The artist who reminds you to keep dreaming when the world turns gray.
Your ability to speak with - and listen to - them all, will be your greatest asset.

You’ve heard the saying”
Your network is your net worth.
But I’ll take it one step further.
Your ability to connect with your network is your real net worth.
Its not just about knowing people.
Its about moving them.
Inspiring them.
Serving them.
And showing up in a way that makes people want to bet on you.
Because doors don’t just open from resumes.
They open from conversations.
From quiet moments of trust.
From how you make someone feel when you speak.
So here’s my advice:
Don’t just chase the ability to speak well. Chase the ability to speak to anyone.
Learn the power of eye contact.
Speak with your hands when the message needs passion.
Pause when you need them to lean in.
Lower your voice when the truth gets heavy.
Laugh freely when its time to connect.
The world does’’t belong to the loudest voice. It belongs to the clearest voice. The one who knows who they are. The one who listens before they speak. The one who adapts without performing. The one who relates without pretending.
One day, you’ll walk into a room where the decision-maker is sitting quietly in the back.
And he’ll be watching - not how loud you talk, but how well you connect.
And when you walk out - the investor, CEO, janitor, or stranger…. will remember one thing; “ You spoke like a man who knows people. Not just business.”
And Son…… That’s how the world opens up for you. With clarity, with respect, with power, with heart.
Always speak with purpose, and always speak with people in mind.
