My Dearson,
There’s something I need to tell you - something I wish I had learned much earlier in life.
Things take time and discipline.
So, you should be focusing on getting 1% better everyday . That’s it. One small improvement. One quiet choice. One Rep!
Stack that everyday and it becomes unstoppable. Let me show you what I mean.
The Compound Power of Small Gains
Most people completely misunderstand growth. They think its a massive leap; some grand gesture. But growth - real, lasting growth - is almost invisible while its happening.
Here’s the math:
If you improve by just 1% every day for a full year, you’ll be 37 times better by the end of it. Not 37% but Thirty-Seven times! That’s the power of compounding. It works the same way your money grows with interest. Except this time, the investment is you.
💧The Water Metaphor (Don’t Miss this)
Imagine your heating up a pot of water. Your at 80 degrees. Then 90. Then 99…
But nothings happening yet.
Its still just hot water.
Then you hit 100 degrees - and suddenly , it boils.
That one extra degree changes the entire state of the water.
It becomes something new. Something powerful.
Growth works the same way.
You might be at 97 degrees right now and ready to quit. But if you stick with it just a little longer…. everything starts to bubble.
🧱🧱Stacking Bricks: A Story from My life
There was a time when I wanted everything to change in my life - fast.
I was frustrated, overwhelmed and hungry for breakthrough. So I tried to sprint.
I read all the books. Bought the courses.
Woke up at 5am for two weeks straight. But then I’d burn out and go right back to square one.
It wasn’t until I slowed down and started stacking bricks; that things shifted.
One good morning.
One Clean habit.
One small win.
I built a wall of consistency brick by brick - not overnight. And now that wall protects me.
It holds up my discipline. it give me strength when I don’t feel like showing up.
🧠 Why We Quit Too Soon.
Most people quit too early - not because they’re lazy.
But because they never see the reward as soon as they’d like.
You go to the gym for 10 days straight… and your body looks the same.
You write one chapter of the book… and it still feels unfinished.
You make the calls, send the emails…. and no answers.
So you stop.
But what you didn’t realize is that you were at 99 degrees.
One more rep. One more day. One more week.
And the momentum would’ve kicked in.
